Submits Final Report to Delta Stewardship Council
Flow criteria for the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta ecosystem necessary to protect public trust resources—primarily fish and other aquatic organisms—was finalized by the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) in early August and presented at the Delta Stewardship Council during its Aug. 26-27 meeting as required by Senate Bill X7 1.
The Delta Science Fellows program funds postdoctoral and graduate researchers to work with community and scientific mentors on targeted Delta Science program research priorities. In this issue, Science News spotlights Fellows Cécile Mioni and Monika Winder who are both making presentations at the upcoming Bay-Delta Science Conference.
Bay-Delta Science Conference Set for September 27-29
The latest scientific information, critical in shaping management and policy decisions for the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta and the San Francisco Bay, will be shared Sept. 27-29 when more than 1,000 scientists, managers, and policymakers attend the 6th Biennial Bay-Delta Science Conference at the Sacramento Convention Center.
"This event will have the look and feel of a major national or international science conference with high quality timely presentations," said Cliff Dahm, Lead Scientist for the Delta Science Program.
